Artist Statement

These works incorporate my love of painting, drawing, texture, collage, found objects and construction. I enjoy working without limits, usually making the panels and frames to suit my vision for the piece. I am sometimes inspired by a found object and build a narrative and environment around it. Other times, I have a concept and make or find objects to convey my ideas.

Some of the pieces relate to my inner journey and sense of becoming, while others express my appreciation for places and animals - especially birds. Some of the most recent work featured moving parts, so the viewer can interact with the piece.
